I don't post very often, but had to considering all of the hostilities that are posted from this news announcement.
Verizon, like everyone else reserves the right to change the per message rates if they want to. It is their right as a business. Last time I checked, it is a free market system. If you are a consumer and don't like the fact that your wireless carrier is charging you more for not having a bundled text service, then leave. It's that simple people.
I have friends that work at Verizon. I asked them what they thought about the increase in per message cost. They said that almost everyone that signs up gets a Verizon Select plan or bundle of some type, because it gives them the ability to send an unlimited amount of text...

Are you talking about just verizon or for everyone when u say that you can block texts if you don't want them? There are companies carriers out there that wont allow you to block incoming text...
