Seems like a desperate move to me

What do you think? Discuss.
That doesn't make sense. VZW isn't desperate. They are right up there with AT&T in net adds, have the lowest churn and highest revenue in the industry.
...
Differentiate yourself from your competition. We are reaching 100% saturation in the wireless market in the US. Analysist say this because the net adds are slowing down compared from last year.

Pretty soon "the Network" will no longer be a selling...

Nice move making everyone argue about VZW. Its funny how everyone on here has to oppress opinions other than their own.
dont struggling companies get desperate? VZW still leads in nearly every area every quarter so what is there to be desperate about anx?

VZW never stays still thats all this is, we have to keep moving to keep our lead. Best today, Better tomorrow.

A question about Google.

I heard that Google set up a small cell network around their headquarters to test android phones. Anyone know what kind of network that is? CDMA? GSM? Both? Something else?

It makes me wonder what the CDMA vs. GSM phones will look like from the Android developers. The fact that Verizon will support it is great news, because it should give developers a more incentive to make great phones for those on the CDMA networks.

If you believe all the Verizon-hating posts out there, it seems like there are plenty of malcontents out there ready to jump on the Android bandwagon.

You gotta wonder what they'll complain about after that. I guess we won't have to wonder too long.
