Ugly?

Doesn't anyone else think that giant lens make it look ugly? And what is with the Samsung conspiracy to avoid WiFi and force you to pay TMO for net access? And their proprietary ports? I think Samsung should have learned from the Sony attempts throughout history to be proprietary. Any hopes TMO get the Nokia 5800? They seem to get most of the Nokia Music Express line?
Because so many non smartphones have WiFi in the US?

Does Dare, Vu, Eternity, Versa, Instinct, etc have Wifi?

While I don't always agree with the lack of WiFi, please don't make it out like Samsung leaves it out just so you have to spend more ...

plus with verizon you have to get the data pack anyways for the omnia (which has wifi) at least 29.99 per month so if your paying for access may as well use it..

Well I guess its too much to say its ugly, this a new kind a phone , a camera with phone feature, its good the concept, I guess some people wish too much

e-mail

I've been using a Blackberry and was thinking that e-mails would pop up into my message box with the Memoir, but i have to go through the menu and use a java app to view them? And on top of this viewing each e-mail will cost me the same as viewing a text message?!? WTF!
It's the same way on the Behold. Why are they charging you SMS rates to check your email when you're already paying for internet? I thought it was a total rip off, apparently they feel that a message is just a "message" reguardless of what format/type...

Dialing on a T929

When I dial any phone number after the call connects the keypad goes blank and I can not access any of the functions (ie like pressing #1 on an 800#)

I have gone into menu, phone settings, auto keypad lock and turned it off and I have gone to menu, call settings, automatic screen lock and turned this off

neither seems to work.. any idea how I can keep the key pad on while placing calls?

thanks in advance
Not having that issue with mine - when you put the phone up to your ear, it automatically turns the screen off, and when you take it away from your ear, it lights back up (cool feature). Once it's lit back up, there's an option at bottom to re-initia...

Mac OS compatibility

Just got the camera with a phone (Memoir). That's how I justified it. But I am disappointed that it does not sync with MAC. Anybody know any tricks around this?

The PC Studio only works with outlook on windows.
Just got the phone myself was so impressed and loving this phone at first until I found out its not compatible with macs (unless you need to install some kind of software that came with it...i havent checked yet) but another solution to this is using ...

Samsung Memoir vs Blackberry 8900

Can Memoir open Word, Excel and PDF?

Does Memoir notify me when someone sent me e-mail like Blackberry?

I'm not sure what I want to get between Samsung Memoir and Blackberry 8900. For business, probably BB 8900 is better off but I think Memoir has a lot more cool features but I also heard that Memoir has some Web browser issues.
yes it does have a viewer and a tv out option to view on the ev..but u cannot edit word, excel or PDF files..and it does have a pop email notifier it kinda sux but if you have one of the major popular email addys

issues with emailing photos

I'm having an intermittent problem with my memoir sending pictures via text or email. They are not pixilated properly and the color varies from light to dark. When I put my memory card into my computer the pictures are fine, they also look great in the phone itself. Is anyone else experiencing this issue and have a resolution?
its possible that the resolution of the phone where your sending the pic is different with your memoir....

Noobie questions......

Ok so I'm with AT&T and have iphone (whoopie..w/e)

I'd been with TMobile for about 6 years before and made the jump to AT&T.

Well I'm not happy with the many dropped calls I get with AT&T. Was interested in coming back to TMobile and looking for some type of similar touch screen device.

My questions are as follows:

1) are there any streaming music apps available for the memoir?

2) do emails get delivered to the phone or do you have to initiate a "pull"?

Thanks for your help.

What is the OS - Does it come with WinMobile?

I am interested in this phone but looking for someting that has WinMobile. Any advice?
The 929 has a "proprietary" os system. Windows mobile unfortunatly is not available on this device, the Omnia(910) from Verizon is the comparable phone which runs the Windows os.

wow!

why does t-mobile insist on have 5 & 8 megapixel cameras? maybe take a look at reception first, cameras last.
Well, having bought this phone I can say that call reception is great and the camera quality is what it should be. It's a great phone.
I own the ZN5, and find the reception to be the best out of any phone I've ever owned.

I was wondering how well the gps works
The GPS on this phone is great. Just sucks that you have to use telenav and pay 10.00 a month for it. Samsung and tmobile should do something about this. I mean, if you want navigation, great, but if you want google maps, it should allow you to use th...
