Spelling mistake

Verizon today made Motorola's Q9m smartphone available to online buyers. Although the Q9m is similar the the HSDPA Q9h, this EV-DO version features slightly different styling and downgrades some features. It shares the Q9h's keyboard, screen, Windows Mobile 6 standard (Smartphone) and stereo Bluetooth but uses Mini SD instead of MicroSD and downgrades the camera to 1.3 Megapixels. It also feature a new multimedia home screen. The Q9m is only available from Verizon's website for $250 with a 2 year contract and rebates.

You put "similar the the HSDPA", and it would be "similar THEN the HSDPA".

Nothing major, I just noticed it, and thought I would share.

Battery

Anyone know if the Moto Q uses the same battery as the original? I have 2 extended batteries for the original and do not want to have to buy more if I switch to this phone.
I checked my Krzr extended battery in the new Q9m (which is the same as the original Q extended battery) - it fit and works fine. I read somewhere that the new Q extended is 1680mAh, while the old one is 1640mAh - so the difference should be nothing ...

ummm...why?

My question is if the camera resolution is lower, and other features of the phone seem to be downgraded; then why would you go for this one instead of the previous version with better features. That seems a bit asinine of Motorola and Verizon...anyone else think so?
its a downgrade compared to th Q9h which has a 2MP camera, and more memory....

will t-mobile ever get the q9? at first i heard it was going to be a gsm phone... 😕
there is a GSM/UMTS/HSDPA version. There should be a model designated for T-Mobile at some point with the 1700MHz built in.

ah! where is navigator?

i can't believe this, with all the complaints of no vz navigator on moto q, you'd think they would have put it on the q9m, they at least fixed the bluetooth stereo system, i love the look, and with the release of the three in one sandisk memory card(sd adapter, mini-sd apapter, then micro sd card) the mini slot doesn't bother me being 2/3 of the 6gb model of the iphone at quite a lower price.
vznav will be arriving on pda's shortly. they are currently working on a software upgrade for the blackberry 8830 to receive nav. be patient and im sure this will be the next pda from verizon with that capability.
From what I've heard the Samsung i760 will support VZNavigator along with (hopefully) some other GIN/Brew apps. I hope it comes out soon. I work at a cell phone retailer and have been eligible for upgrade for about a year, but have been demoing stor...

Downgrades some features...

Kind of says it all, doesn't it?

1.3 megapixel camera? What else did screw up besdies the lousy interface?

Very soon "the best network" isn't going to be enough to keep us around.

Hwere's hoping that Apple and the iPhone forces Verizon and other compnaies into a position where they can't dictate the features on every device.

Your Senators and Congressmen are too busy taking money from them and listening to their lobbyists to protect our rights. Have they successfully beat back the move to force them to allow any FCC approved device on their networks?

"Oops, hurry and cut that check!"
Yeah, forget Iraq, illegal immigration, and even more relevant mobile phone issues like the whole qualcom/broadcom thing. write your senators and congressmen and tell them to pass a law requiring a higher megapixel camera on the q.

Here we go again.

First: That 'lousy' interface is optional, you can choose to have a regular if you want, all you have to do is press and hold a button.

Second: Talking about crippled phone, iWhatever is more crippled then this Q. Besides, the...

Did you forget to take your meds today? Ever think that somethings were downgraded just so that the phone could work on Vzw? A lot of companies have to do that just so that 100% of the features on their phone will work. For instance, Vzw and Sprint...
