Question
If I buy one of these Femto (Fembot?) Cells, Do I get I kickback on my broadband bill? If I get decent WCDMA recepton inside my home, what incentive do I have to buy one of these? They don't explicitly state it, but I get the impression that this thing is open to the public.

Yeah, I agree, if your satisfied with the strenth of the signal your recieving in your home, then what's the point. I agree.

Very few details were shared by Nokia about this specific product. Other femto cell products that have been announced are tied to specific cell phone accounts (see Sprint/Samsung UbiCell) and can NOT be shared with the general public. They provide enhanced in-home coverage to predetermined cell phones only. If you already have good coverage, there is no reason to get this. There is also no reason for your broadband company to provide you a kickback. If anything, you'll use more bandwidth with this solution.

If you want to make money on this, start charging your neighbors to use your femto cell.
