Posed 100 times through phonescoop im sure

But any ideas on if theres ANY way to improve battery life, extended battery, maybe i have a defective one? it lasted 7 hours with 8 texts and about 4 minutes of net surfing and i close everything out, have emails turned off and have weather updates turned to manual

Anything that can be done?
There is a registry edit that can be done, and a few cab installations that help although not making it perfect. Hit up www.ppcgeeks.com
There are numerous discussions about it and some quick fixes.

Verizon review for the Touch Diamond?

Is there a review for the Verizon version of this CDMA phone or would they be the same?
The review would be similar...
But compared to sprint, the verizon version has a slower processor (400mhz instead of 520mhz), and less ram (128mb instead of 288mb).
It does have a microSD slot instead of onboard 4gb flash which makes it so you can...

Text in Landscape Made Possible

Thanks to a user in PPCgeeks.com that created an .exe file to manually rotate the screen in any app. You just have to copy and paste the file in your "Start Menu" folder. Go into Settings>Menus and check box Rotate Screen (you will probably have to uncheck another box as you can only have so many options in the start menu). When you click on the Start Button on the top left corner you will have an option to rotate screen. Woila, text (or anything you like) in landscape mode. Enjoy. 😎

has anybody seen a program that will automatically change the phone to landscape when you turn it sideways, instead of having to manually hit a button... like the program that mrhawaii talked about.

time change

I'm having soooo much problems with this phone..i wish i wasn't past my 30 day trial or i'd return it!! one of my biggest problems is that the time changes. I live if arizona. our time never ever changes. YES, i have it set to arizona time. every time i have to reset (which is all the time) or whenever it powers up, i have to remember to go in and reset the time. PLEASE, does anyone have a solution (other then buying a watch and an alarm clock) to help me with this problem???

replacement back cover?

I was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to buy a replacement back cover. I have been having bluetooth problems (subject for another thread) and today while walking my dog and taking a work call simultaneously, my bluetooth connection failed yet again, the phone flew out of my hand and hit the sidewalk, scratching the back cover pretty badly. I haven't had the phone long and would like to replace it. Anyone? Thanks!
I'd try to just go into a sprint store and see if they have any extras, i know at my store we've got plenty and we'd just hook you up. It's worth a shot.

Bluetooth Blues

I am having bluetooth problems. I have tried 2 bluetooth devices of different brands. What seems to be happening is that bluetooth mode gets turned off spontaneously. Usually when I experience problems if I check this, its off. i read that it is programmed to go off when it is not actively connected to a device, but that it is supposed to automatically come back on when a device its connected with comes on or into range. I think this is what is failing. Does anyone have any suggestions? Could I have a lemmon on my hands here, need to exchange my phone? I have only had it a couple of weeks. I use bluetooth a ton so if this cannot be resolved i'll return it for sure. Help! Thanks!

Diamond on MetroPCS

I'm thinking of getting a HTC Diamond and flash it to metro but I want to make sure before I buy it that it will work on Metro.

If it does, does anyone know how to get the internet and MMS working?

Thanks!

Fantastic Voice Command (In case you didn't know)

This phone has a fantastic voice command. Of course it has voice dialing of a contact or numerals.

But you can also say things like, "What is my battery life?" and it will say what percentage of battery you have left.

Or, "When is my next appointment?" it will read you calendar and say what time you next appointment is and what it is.

And, "Play (Artist in your Music or title of track)" and it will play that song or artist.

How can I get the original touch theme

Im talking about the original touch. No 3D Crap, just simple and faster digital clock theme. If its possible to revert it back to the original touch, I would really apreciate it. I miss the contact cube so bad. So much easier and faster.

I'm even thinking of updating my pro with the 6.1 ROM update for original touch. Would this work?

Thanks for any info.

3way calling

Is this phone capable of 3-way calling. and if so, how does it work because i am unable to do it on my phone. thanks os much!!
Initiate your first call, after they answer, goto the dial pad, dial your number then hit the send key (hardware key). once that call is initiated press the send key again and it will merge the calls, hope that helps

How hard is it to correct the specs on the Diamond?... The Diamond (Sprints version) does MMS. I sent you info through your "Find a mistake or omission? Submit a Correction" link.

Slightly Off Topic

I have seen on the unlocked market US versions of the Touch Diamond (GSM 850/1900 umts) has anyone tried this? I know the FUZE is out, but not due for an upgrade, and prefer a clean OS without carrier bloat. I also want something thinner then the TP/FUZE.

Has anyone used it?

Diamond VS Pro

I wondered if anyone knows if there is any difference between the HTC Diamnd and the HTC Pro except for the keyboard.

I also wondered will Sprint get both phones at the same time>

Does neither of the phones take an SD card of any type?

Does the HTC diamond let you assign ringtones to different callers?

Im just full of questions while I am in need of a new phone I am trying to wait for the Keyboard Pro.

Thanks in advance for any info anyone has

S
There will be a bit differant of a layout when you slide the keys up with the option of what application you decide to use with the keyboard. this is going to be almost identical to the favorites page on the diamond.

as far as memory, the touch pro...

battery life in phonescoop review 2.5 to 5 days? REALLY?

the review says 2.5 days battery with all that use. How did you manage that. I only get about 1/2 day battery with almost no use!? Did you configure something, or was this after letting the battery be used some time for several charges as some people say to let happen? Should I ask for a new battery ? I replaced my first one and this second one still only gets about 18 hours of life with little to no usage...
What version do you have? Sprint or unlocked?
...
1st "battery eater" for me is MS Direct Push. The 2nd is data connection. With both of them off I'm getting just ~20-25% battery down per day.

Storing MP3's on Internal Memory

How and where do I store my MP3's on the Diamond so I can play them from the "Music" tab?

Thank you!
you should just stick it in a music folder on your internal storage (4gb) and just touch library when you're at the music tab goto your songs or artists section and once you pick one it should populate all your songs, worked for me at least.
