Sprint Speeds Up Three More Cities
...We all know this but some might not admit it
Cingular does everything better? Hmm. their data is not better, their prepaid product is not better and most importantly their push to talk is not better. Oh yea, what about their voice and data arpu? They are not the leaders in that arena.
HSUPA will be later on down the road. (I forgot the exact time frame.)
So it is not in Verizon's best interest to deploy EVDO in markets with a very low data take rate.

Another thing to consider is that the demographic Verizon is the most successful with are not likely to be big data users. Sprint and T-Mobile are the most successful at selling data products and Cingular is third.

Verizon already has EVDO in over 181 markets now, so what the hell are you talking about? Where is there any proof that Sprint outdoes Verizon, too funny. Sprint doesn't even exceed Verizon in voice markets, how do the exceed them in data?
Sprint has the highest ARPU for data in the industry. Verizon won't even attempt to broadcast their numbers of data consumers.
How is that for proof? Look at another posting in this forum about the test speeds for Rev A vs. Rev O and HSPDA. Sprint pwnz every. other. provider. for data.
The end.
Easy. Because Sprint caters primarily to data customers while Verizon goes after voice.
Test results are as follows:
* For the EVDO network tests the Novatel S620 card was used for rel .0 and the Sierra 595 card was used for the rel. A network….for Cingular's HSDPA network an SWIR 860 card was used (Sierra Wireless).
* All cards were tested on laptop computers from a downtown location in San Diego and the airport and tests were run numerous times to obtain average performance speeds.
* Download (Downlink) times are as follows:
*EVDO rel. A showed speeds from 642kbps to 1,197kbps with an average speed of 1,010kbps
*EVDO rel. 0 showed speeds from 432kbps to 1,008kbps with an average speed of 628kbps
*Cingular HSDPA showed speeds from 565kbps to 784...
