dont cha think...

i think these phones with the tracking device or locater is a good idea for finding out if your love ones are cheating on you. i mean, every time they would go out, just place the tracking device or locater in their car and just locate them without them even knowing. this way, there wouldn't any more nagging where he or she is going.....

PetroCom???

I'm more than a bit surprised -- PetroCom seems like a very odd choice for a kid-focused company to partner with. What's next, Commnet Wireless expanding beyond roaming and doing the same? 😛

I'd expect coverage to be mostly Cingular with some regionals, as unless something has changed recently, T-Mobile doesn't have a roaming agreement with PetroCom.

As for T-Mobile: once again they're missing the boat. T-Mo's kidConnect is a good *rate plan*, but if they want to compete more effectively with VZW, Sprint, Disney, etc. they need to add the location component to their offering, and AIUI, they can't really do (non-911) location easily on their current network and need a handset solution. Woohoo! Screw verizon, sprint, cingular and tmobile. all of them suck. I'm switching to PetroCom. i get service even on oil rigs, suckers!!! 🤣
