Rollout maps/dates?

Has anyone had any access to a map/spreadsheet/etc. that shows tenative dates for rollout?

I've heard that they are shooting for end of year. We have 3 markets within driving distance that have been piloting EVDO for 6+ months already. I really am interested in adding a card to my employee plan but would like a ballpark figure on when we'll have the service in our area.

Thanks!

😕 Sprint will only be matching the speeds Cingular already is capable of with HSDPA. The nationwide rollout is by the end of this year.

Speed?

Someone educate me on this please...

Is the only difference between Rev 0 and Rev A the upload speeds? If so, what will they be increased to?

What will the download speeds be?

😕
Download speeds will be increased a little but more importantly, latency will be reduced.
Nevermind,

"With the evolution to EV-DO Revision A, users in markets where it is rolled out, will experience faster average download speeds of 450 - 800 kbps; and average upload speeds of 300 - 400 kbps. These data rates can enable richer applicat...

What about current EVDO pda's

Anyone know if the current Treo 700p smart phone or other EVDO-0 devices will be upgradeable to revision A? With software maybe? I just purchased the Treo 700p and while the speed is good it could be better..
Current Rev 0 devices will not benefit from the upgrade. You will continue to perform at Rev 0 speeds.
If you aren't uploading large files it doesn't matter.

New speed...and why??

👀 Ok Rev. A is good but if SprintNextel wants to make a statement they should drop the ED-DO and just go to ED-DV. It will reduce the amout of network lag time as well as develop the VoIP for them. With the co-branding they are going to roll out with Comcast, Time Warner, and more the ED-DV would be the best fit for the @home DVR from your wireless and more mobile content. Well that's my two cents.
EV-DV is no longer an option. Qualcomm dropped it's development because carriers were favoring EV-DO Rev. A over EV-DV. The reason? EV-DO Rev. A is just as capable (if not moreso) than EV-DV.

All of the things that you mentioned will be capable of ...
