You (or others) locate your kids phone...

The service offered, allows parents to locate there children's phone via the GPS chip found in any (modern) CDMA phone. Password protected.

Working with networks, anyone should know there is No truly secure network, any password, or firewall, can be passed a lot of them have a "back-door" for tech repair, but this is not the only alternate access.

My point being there is always a possible short fall. This could be more of a problem than they are leading on.

This is nice and all but....

Having all these controls and features and stuff is great and all, but what parent is going to want to be carrying a Disney Mobile phone themselves if theyre going for family plans. The benefit to the children will be outweighed by the fact that parents wouldnt want to actually carry that stuff themselves..and thus, failure.

Out with the firefly, in with Disney Mobile!

I think this is a great idea! I used to work in a mall kiosk, and part of the reason why the Cricket is so popular, is because parents want to make sure that their kids won't put them into bankruptcy. Go Disney! I think that this should go a long way! 😁
I'm sorry, but I don't see this replacing the Firefly, especially with the CDMA Firefly launching soon. Too much crap...and not enough security in my opinion. My opinion may change on this one, but I doubt it.

Clarifies a lot.

This is their official release at CTIA, as told by a different wireless news source. Much more in depth than phonescoop goes.
