I presume the non-branded phone must support CDMA, is that correct?

Yeah, thats why they probably opted for the iphones and Nexus 6 which have cdma capablity. But what is going to be even more insane, is all of a sudden VZW will act as if this is something new and innovative, never mind gsm has been doing this since ...
