why 2 prepaid from att ?

"Cricket is owned and operated by AT&T"

isnt GoPhone from ATT too?
Cricket is owned by at&t, but Cricket is not a division of at&t. Cricket is run as a completely separate company, with its own CEO and board of directors.

Plans start at $25/month not $40....

The $25 plan has no data at all though. You can still activate it yourself and use it in a smartphone, and then only have data access via wifi.
True, and a lot of people like that plan because it is the only way left for people to have a smartphone but not pay for a data plan.
