Verizon To Launch Turn By Turn Directions
Verizon should've teamed up with Garmin instead
I don't know why Verizon would use BREW technology instead. Is Java or BREW more stable BTW? I understand that this is going to be BREW-based (Get It Now is based on the BREW codebase), but Verizon should've used the widely-used Java platform instead.
Why Motorola has the highest GPS Priority?
It's about time Verizon has a Turn-By-Turn service, but I was just hoping that Verizon could've had plenty phones that had this service initially. Furthermore, Verizon phones need to have Java for Turn-By-Turn to work well.
You can already do this with Cingular
the HP iPaq has GPS built in so you can install software to utilize it and get directions
the nice thing about the Nokia solution is that Cingular doesn't charge you extra ike verizon will. and it downloads maps as you need them, so if you already have a media net package, you are golden.
