So what's the point of putting the Nokia brand name on the phone if it isn't made by Nokia and doesn't use the series 40 operating system? This isn't going to get people to buy Nokia phones. It doesn't look anything like their other phones. And if Nokia's strategy is to broaden their phone selection, they didn't make a good first impression because that phone is hideous. Hopefully SK will be able to produce an appealing design and better specifications next time.

Verizon-Slider
I have been waiting for so long to get a good slider from verizon! I cant wait to see the spec's on this phone like battery, speaker, size. It looks like a good one for me!

I posted in the nokia forums back in AUG about this phone I had a nokia rep come by that had the 4 new Nokia phones coming to VZW this was the nicest outta the group.. I was told to expect the phone 01/06 and from what I was told it would have bluetooth and all the same advanced features like all current VCast phones what makes this one different is its supposed to have the music on demand feature that VZW is supposed to launch..

Its nice that the screen is so big an' all, but overall.. jus' not an attractive phone.
Interesting that Nokia is goin' wit' the Verizon UI. I hear they used to give carriers holy hell whenever they requested major carrier-specific touches like that. I guess they're no longer in a position to dictate to the carriers everythin' an' anything.

i think its like the motorola v70 and its a swivel, not a slide. more like a swifter

Spoke with Nokia marketing employee
She came into the store and I was asking her about the phone. I showed it to here on phone-scoop and she was surprised that the picture is available already. She said that the front dial pad looks different and the screen is a little bigger than in the picture. She said that the picture does not do it justice. I like it anyway but it might be more appealing to everyone else when you see a better picture. I never post on here but it seems that nobody is happy with any phone that comes out. If people on here had their way every phone would look the same. Hopefully it will be out in 2Q 06.
Yah...i saw the phone too, its OKAY, i mean its not as bad looking as i think people are making it out to be. 😉
Nokia does not know how to make 1X-DO Chipsets
They need to buy these phones from companies that use Qualcomm chips
