On a somewhat related note, it would be really smart of them to contract with sony or nintendo to provide the chipsets for the eventual development of any gaming handheld w/ wireless data capability.

As a N-Gage owner I have to say...
The average EB Games and Game Stop employee are not phone sales. And the average guy at the World-Of-Phones or Phones-R-Us kiosk in the mall are not game sales people.
This phone is not a hard core gamers phone. And Nokia should have tried to relies that. It is a great phone to kill a few minutes when you are stuck somewhere with out your PSP or GBA. But it could never become a primary game system.
But if anybody doubts the power of this phone I say go to ngage.com and take a look at the specs. It is pretty good deal for free (after rebates and stuff)
And the sybian os is great www.my-symbian.com shows some of the great software that will turn this phone into everything from...

Don't think it'll be missed..
I'm a gamer, but even I never saw no real need fo' the NGage unless it could game in the same league as the Gameboy Advance or the PSP or the DS. It didn't.
Still I wish Nokia luck when they try again in 2007. Maybe they'll get it right next time.
