Would a VoLTE call between a VZW user and a AT&T user be able to be a HD voice call?

Talking to Verizon customers on the phone is seriously dreadful at best. They use the most compressed CDMA2000 voice codec and I've had better call quality using 2 tin cans & string. Sprint and TMobile customers are far more pleasant calls to make. AT&T not so good, either.

I have been several a VZW subscriber for fourteen years now and it's akin to being in a loveless marriage. I find myself making excuses as to why I stay. Three unlimited data plans is all I've got left.
