Surprised it took this long...

Cost of cell service is going down. Simply cannot afford the operation at the same level it had been.

sprint employees

my condolences for sprint employees for loosing your jobs. these are for the most part actually sprint call centers and not the crappy 3rd party call centers. over the years they have been bad to employees in kansas city area where sprint began,

might as well go to boost now or virgin lol third party call center employee by sprint get now where paid like sprint employees and hire companies that usually provide a hostile work enviroment,

glad i am not a sprint customer
no condolences to verizon centers, they shut 5 in the last weeks, just part of business, less calls inbound mean less jobs

Great call center

I know that on the 3 or 4 occasions that I've called Sprint's "Back door" customer service line (You can easily find it on sites like Gethuman.com), a human that speaks clear English has answered after the 1st ring each time. No having to hassle with an IVR to get to someone.

If this move somehow was going to impact that type of service, I'd definitely put some marks against Sprint. That's how phone customer service should be - Always! No exceptions!

It's rough working for Sprint

I tell you Sprint and T-Mobile have too many rounds of cuts for me to go back to either. I started in the industry in 1998 at the Sprint call center in Orlando. Some people who started with me are still there. The cut back on the store staff and even closing stores in favor of Prefered Retailer whom they just pay commision and not staffing and the store support staff is maxed out after this last rounds of cuts. ATT & Verizon offer much more employment stabilty ☹️ ☹️ ☹️
see above statement, Verizon closed 5 centers too

Look at the areas that were cut

It's math. Orlando, Sacremento, New York, Ft Worth. Cost per rep is much higher per person in these areas. They're keeping the smaller city call center.
