Price War coming!

"Some industry insiders see Verizon's price cut as the possible start of a wireless broadband price war. It is not clear yet if any of Verizon Wireless' rivals, especially Cingular Wireless or Sprint, will cut the price of their wide area laptop data offerings."

There's your first drop...

...$60 is entirely reasonable for EVDO.
It's a very exciting time to be a verizon wireless customer 😁
...
So was $80. My Comcast cable which is stationed ONLY at my home is $60/month... $60 is amazing for EVDO. Same cost as my Comcast, but I can take it with me outside my home.

Am using EV/DO in Denver to post this message

Am at Denver International, Terminal B, it's slower than in other places but otherwise working well. In Houston it's not uncommon to get bursts over 1 mbps (1000 kbps). Denver seems to be bursting around 600 kbps. It's still very fast however compared to EDGE.
