Installing TouchFLO on other WM6 phones?

Here's something to ponder:

TouchFLO looks like just another menu shell for WM OS... anyone think it would be possible to just install the TouchFLO menuing system on another HTC WM6 phone, like the T-mobile Wing?
No can do. From http://www.smartofficenews.com.au/Communicati on/N4D6D2K4

"The device is the first to feature HTC's TouchFlo software solution, though according to Chou, the solution does go deeper down into the hardware, so running Touc

txt entry options

In WM5 if you click on the up arrow next to the keyboard symbol at the bottom in the compose msg screen a list pops up showing different txt entry options available besides using a mini touch keyboard.

For one handed txting on my xv6700 without the stylus or slide out keyboard I tap on the arrow next to the keyboard symbol then choose phone pad. This phone pad beasically brings up a phone pad where i can use t9 like i would on a non pda phone.

Is this option available on wm6?
just bumpin it to the top in hopes of getting a response
I wondered the same thing when I saw that you can use the touch phone pad on the Prada to text. BUT THE ANSWER IS YES. The Network Administrator on my job put WM6 on his 8125 and he showed me that from the keyboard options, there is an option for Phon...

Differentiating between stylus & finger

I've been wondering what it means that the Touch can tell the difference b/t finger and stylus. (Read the full review at http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Id=3442& source=HOMETOP)

"One of the things that allows the Touch to do its thing is its ability to determine the difference between the stylus (or fingernail) and a fingertip. Whereas a dragging motion with the stylus in the Inbox application will select multiple messages, the Touch will instead scroll the display when a finger drags on the screen."

And this is interesting about small screen elements: "The extra intelligence that the new display technology uses makes accessing small on-screen controls with a finger more accurate. This is especially true of controls like the OK/X b...

Is this GUI fall out from the iPhone?

I'm not sure how much traction touch flow is going to get, but it sure seems like something that should have been around for a while. It's just an extension of the swipe shortcuts that have always been available on touch screen PDAs.

I'm not an iphone-phile- but did it take a demo of what touch can do to jump start a new UI subset?

Basic Games?

This phone looks interesting to me, but I do like to play some basic games to pass the time, Are there any available on this phone, or if loaded will the by playable without the keyboard interface? For instance the version of Solitare on my current HTC phone requires the keyboard to move the cards. Thanks

Thank you!

ever since their announcement, i have been wondering exactly how this thing worked. Watching some1 play with it answers a lot of questions for me. Thank you, guys!

P.S. I saw 'Lebanese Blonde' in your playlist... it's my favorite Thievery Corporation song (although "Richest Man In Babylon" is probably their best album). Sirius radio plays a mash up of that song with the verse lyrics from a Jungle Brother song. I've been trying to find that mix everywhere!
Its great to see someone else that appreciates a nice mash up! Search for long Shore Drift - Lebanese Jungle Brother

For great bootlegs and mash ups go to www.bootlegsfr.com. Its in french but the downloads are quality and pretty fast.

Wow, typing out text messages with a stylus looks extremely tedious. That and the horrible graphics ...no thanks!!

Not Impressed!!!

After seeing a live preview of the iphone this is garbage. Like Eric said, why would you want to use a stylus AND your finger. It looks to be almost more complicated than a WM device without a touch screen. I don't see this catching on, especially since it will cost relatively the same price as the iphone. Nobody does it like Apple. 😎

Gettin' Touchy Feely....

Is it not possible to inclued 3G on these "touch" devices? See iPhone, Prada, and HTC Touch...
i wish i knew if somehow 3g is incompatible with these types of device. but i do know that the touch screen on the Touch is different than on the iPhone / Prada. so i'm not totally sure if there's some direct relationship or if it's merely coincidence...
