I absolutely hate sites that popup or auto play anything. This is a feature that will change my Facebook visits from rarely ever to never.
The facebook messenger app itself is already annoying with it's new "chat bubbles" (which can't be disabled in some phones).
Seeing your buddies' pictures in your newsfeed is already drawing a lot of your data. I can't imagine the increase in the am...

Just turn it off, duh.

Instagram did that and it took a simple settings change to turn it off and never do it again. I'm sure it will be the same with Facebook.
In that case it should be off by default

Seriously, who outside of the boardroom of a major wireless carrier would think that this is a good idea? I guess teenagers and hipsters would so maybe this is a good idea.

better get bigger data plans

Why the hell are the gonna implement this on mobile!!!
This will cause Facebook to consume even more data, well that will cause me to only use it to check 2 two groups.
Seems like that's the plan...
