Charging on updated version

I recently bought a Virgin Mobile version of the GS3 (L710T) and read that some GS3's charging ports are breaking easily.

Is this true? How common is this issue with GS3's?

Thanks,
Patrick
well recently i got Samsung Galaxy S3 mini on very cheap price, i happy lucky because i got best deal i ever on the www.thexpressoutlet.com . check out there are so many deals on very cheap prices.
Our two GS3s USB ports are working fine. There have been reports about faulty ports, but if you are careful (push the plug straight in, not from an angle) when connecting the charge cable you will do just fine.

You can also consider wireless charg...

Great price.!!!

That a excellent price for a
Awesome device. 🤤
$400 for a device that's a generation old already? Better than a contract, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it an excellent price...
...
Not too shabby for a device without a contract.

Battery Dies HARD & FAST.... SLOW to RECHARGE

I am not a stranger to smartphones or the sacrifices you make to have an all in one device. I understand and have told people that just like you do not but a Lincoln Navigator for it's fuel economy you do not buy a smartphone for how well it conserves a battery but this phone is ridiculous!

BEFORE I am inundated with " BASIC Smartphone 101 replies from the peanut gallery..." I am fully aware of all the tips and tricks to limit battery usage.

Maybe it is a Samsung issue as this is my 1st Samsung since I traded my SPH A900 (Blade) , LOVED that phone HATED the battery... all it needed was a better battery, FTP on the bluetooth and an SD card slot and that phone would of been PERFECT but alas I did upgraded to a Treo 700wx in late 2006 ...

exchange sync issues? activation?

Sprint S3, did anyone have a trouble activating their s3? I had so many issues with the setup. I activated one no problem, and the other had different errors that turned into 2 weeks later causing issues with the exchange server not syncing emails with push notifications setup. I sent a test email, and had to manuel push it from outbox to sent. I wiped the phone, but concerned it will have more issues in the future.

Why no SIM card Sprint?

So this phone has the chipset to support CDMA, LTE and GSM and UTMS, HSPDA. Verizon will be fielding one that will have access to CDMA, LTE and GSM etc, but Sprint managed to get the SIM card slot omitted an their version. Thanks Sprint.
There's a lot more than just the SIM card and chipset.

Most chipsets in most phones have some level of "support" for a hundred or more features that may not be implemented in that particular phone. There are also radio chips and antennas that need ...

US Cellular is also LTE @ 1900??

Or is the LTE radio disabled?
It won't be disabled. USCC is advertising it as an LTE phone, so expect it to work on their LTE network.

As for the exact bands, to be honest, I'm not sure. Neither Samsung nor USCC has published the exact LTE bands it supports. We've asked, and ha...

Looking forward to the upgrade

I'm currently running a Sprint Galaxy SII and love it. This phone does not seem remarkably different so far but it does have some advanced features that seem cool.
I'm not crazy about the color choices for this phone but I'll reserve judgement until I can hold one in my hand.
If I decide I can't live without it, I can give my SII to my wife.
As a fan of black (or, hey, gunmetal grey works too) phones, I understand your questioning about Samsung's color choices. That said, the blue SIII does look very nice, to the point that I'm not missing having a black phone. The shade of blue is dark e...
