Oh please...

"Verizon says this is to better help people understand when they are eligible for new device discounts."

Honestly ... what an absolutely gigantic load of crap.

Let me fix that:
Verizon says this is to better help people pay us for an extra four months to subsidize the same crappy phone.

I really wish Verizon didn't have the best signal where I live.
They have the best signal pretty much everywhere thus the reason they cost so much.... AND if you dont like the extra 4 months then you can go to TMO and pay FULL retail spread out over 24 months.....
...
OH YEA!!!! And their network is horrible so the phone wont work in half the places you go! and yes i have had both providers actually worked for both, verizon is by far the best provider in the industry!

to get the second best coverage with a carrier that doesn't insult their customer's intelligence.
But to each their own, I guess.

Big Red: hosing you over for another 4 months

Contract phones are asenine now. I'll take my $60 a month plan for the same thing that contracts charge double for any day. You'll never see my signature on file with any wireless carrier for the rest of my life. Brand new phone at a discount? Who cares. I'll take a slightly used Galaxy S3 for half price and make up the difference in 3 months while everyone else has to wait another 21. Oh, and I am not sacrificing coverage. I have an at&t MVNO. Put mine side by side with one on a contract, I dare you to show me the difference.
Dont blame you for your decision...Who is the MVNO, by the way?

time to switch to Sprint!!

Now is the time to get out of Big Red and join up with Sprint!! Time to enjoy Unlimited Internet along with TRUE MOBILE TO MOBILE!!

Its cheaper every month then big evil, and coverage for the most part is just the same(3g and 4g lte for both carriers)....

and to the haters....Sprint has some dead spots...as does ATT, Tmobile, Cricket, Metro PCS, and shockingly......VERIZON.

why spend more and get less.....
Let's all just come together with the agreement that Verizon is bad.

Kumbaya, yo. Kumbaya.
There is no comparason between sprint and verizon's networks but if you don't mind going slower and live in an area where you can change I would jump ship over that. It's a bad enough deal as it is and this is just pathetic.

SSO?

Verizon says this is to better help people understand when they are eligible for new device discounts

please... you can easily check your upgrade eligbility with att from your cellphone by dialing *639# and im sure verizon has some variant of that. this is just a ploy to make more money of subsidized phones.
Yeah, it annoys me when a company tries to insult our intelligence by giving out some crappy reasoning...I would have more respect if Verizon just said "we are doing this so that we can pay out less in subsidies for phones, which would increase our pr...

Even easier with Verizon, one less digit to dual. #upg or #874. Do it now, and save the text you get. Might need it for evidence later.
