Thats bogus man!

testing testing, how would it affect current towers on the ground? This makes know sense to me. I can't wait for the day I can use my silly onboard aircraft.

more filings

the ctia wasn't the only one to file papers with the FCC yesterday. it must have been deadline day, because a few hours ago, everyone's filings became news.

the DHS and FBI don't want us to be able to make calls from planes because they're afraid it might help terrorists coordinate an attack or detonate bombs. i admit i initially thought this was absurd, short range radios like wifi, bluetooth or even a simple remote control could also be used by a passenger to detonate a bomb in the cargo hold. then i realized that a cellular triggered bomb could be smuggled aboard a plane, and a terrorist, safely on the ground, could call the bomb and detonate...
