Antenna

I read somewhere in the discussion about this phone not working for Verizon however from my understanding and research thats not true. The antenna will be embedded into the bottom of the phone where the receiver is (the piece you talk into) so there will be an antenna in this phone and it should work for Verizon and hopefully it will be a step up again. Because I'm getting sick of GSM getting all the good phones!

great

Great now we can stop seeing all the questions about the RAZR being compatible with VZW service.

By the way...this has Verizon written all over it. And I think they'll need it to redeem them for the v710.
They'll need more than Motorola to redeem a Motorola 🤣
...
Why? They are just going to disable the obex like they did with the v710.
Personally, I'll take that Samsung A970 over a CDMA RAZR anyday. I could care less about obex because I hack the bejeezus out of my phones anyway 😁
It said Java not brew...I say sprint 🙄

I give up!!

I see all these cool phones and have access to none of them being stuck on verizon.I used to defend verizon but I give up. I have walked into their store only to see the same crap silver flips year after year. I dare anyone to tell me a cool full-feature phone that is coming out on verizon in the next year.

nothing!!!! nothing!!!!

who cares about this stupid razr that might come out in a year and half and still be a hack job. I have been with this stupid company for five damn years back when they called themselves airtouch.
Sorry for the rant. Just cant believe verizon anymore. When I get off work Im going to the Cingular store.
I agree. As a verizon customer, their phones are always crappy or 6-12 months behind Cingular/Sprint. As soon as my contract is up, I'm moving over to Cingular. GSM is the way to go. Way more phones, way more options.

YOU GO GUNNY, YOU DA MAN...COME ON OVER 🤣
I hit the same point you are at now last year in August- and I paid for two early termination fees to get out after 8 years with VZW. Everything was always "coming next quarter" and then it would be a dud or crippled version of what we read about on P...

More great news for Cingular: You'll see a new GSM RAZR with EDGE, MP Camera, and video, and much before the end of the year. More likely this summer! If you want a RAZR with a full feature set, GSM will get it first.....

Not 4 Verizon

I have a new friend at Verizon who said I shouldn't get excited about this phone nor the Samsung A970 because Verizon requires external stub antennas for their phones.

Once again, the "cool" seems to breeze by Verizon.
That would be feasible if VZW's Get It Now logo (copyrighted) was not on the keypad of the A970 🙄
Now, I could care less about the RAZR remake.
...
Trust me... the A970 is definitely for Verizon. I've held it and played with it twice, and I can assure you that it has a Get It Now logo on the keypad...

Both the N330 and A970 are Samsungs with internal antennas for Verizon. Samsung has worked ve...

Stub.... NOT TRUE!!!!!!!

1. They have a Nokia on the site right now that doesn't have one.

2. A couple of years ago they offered the Quailcomm Q phone that had no external antenna!!!
...
The Nokia 6015i has an internal antenna...now available for Verizon...

Perseverence

As soon as the GSM RAZR came out, I knew the CDMA demand would be high enough to warrant this creation 😁
That doesn't mean that the phone is good enough to warrent it.

Bluetooth Question for Rich....

Rich-
Is there any word on how Verizon will utilize the Bluetooth capabilities? Will the CRAZR (I kinda like that name, too!) have OBEX or Dial-Up protocols, or will it be limited to the Handsfree/Headset profiles like the v710?
Verizon is still under contract with BREW. There is no way this phone will have the OBEX profile enabled.
It's really way too early for anyone to know anything like that. I doubt the lead CRAZR project manager at Motorola could even tell you that with any kind of certainty. It's just too early...

But ultimately, Verizon is the customer, so Motorola wil...

No Way

I, regretfully, own a Motorola V710. What a piece of junk. It supposedly also has a 1MP cam, but it might as well not. Honestly I got better pics from my old VGA.

Theres simply no way I'll ever be suckered into another Motorola product.

Alltel?

Since Alltel sort of follows Verizon's lead on most phones, any chance of them getting this one? I don't think they're as restrictive with Bluetooth either.
you never know with alltel, they are releasing 20 new phones btw now and Q1 of next year.
