They won't be released in the US at least. And even if they were Sprint wouldn't have these phones, it would be Cingular or T-mobile (hence the GSM bands listed)
lol no i mean will they release them PERIOD, i love samsung to death but their track record of "announcing" phones and then never releasing them is pretty good.....lol

Why can't sprint realize that bluetooth functionality is desired enough by our customers to build that feature into our phones! The feature set and style of the D600 is very reminiscent of the A800 and yet it offers potentially more stuff. Sadly I also wouldn't be surprised if this phone comes to the market at a lower selling price than the A800, which would throw out the idea that it is a cost issue which limits the A800 from having certain features.

I sort of understand where you're coming from . . . but at the same time I think that bluetooth is one of those things, that once you become accustomed to using it, it's really hard to go back to not having it (sort of like having a cell phone). We use it all the time at my work, and its incredibly convenient to be able to send a coworker a contact or a document via bluetooth just by pressing a button. You're right that not all customers are interested in that convenience, but I think that all that dwranger is saying is that he (and many other people on Sprint) would at least like to have the option of using it.

I would have to agree with you that the majority of the 'American' public doesn't know what Bluetooth is (unlike Europe, where bluetooth is everywhere). I think the issue with Samsung is also the it is a Korean company, while Bluetooth is originally European technology. It seems like they're farther ahead on some of the camera/video technology (i.e. streaming video is old hat in South Korea, but relatively new through the rest of the world), while the European manufacturers like Nokia and Sony Ericsson seem to incorporate bluetooth into all of their mid- and high-end phones now (while Samsung has none).
