Verizon Launches Kyocera KX2

Go with the sure bet..the LG 8000 or 8100

Kyocera is going to be producing this P.O.S. in Mexico, and Verizon is looking for a way to dump their excessive inventory of KX2's.

Speak to anyone in the Wireless Industry. The KX2 is just plain junk. No battery life, weak screen and terrible screen resolution.

Just check EBAY...Users are practically giving this piece of JUNK away.

The local Swap Meet can't even give one away free with the cost of admission.

plz help me...i wud really appreciate help...soo im still deciding...shud i get this fone or vx8100...i like this fone cuz it had good reviews...im jes wondering how the camera is..sound and also signal....the 8100 is small and i like small fones...but it has bad reviews...and in which i dunt feel like buying a fone that sux...can u give me some input thanks 🙂

I'm attempting to send ring tones to my

phone via e-mail. I change it to a .mid send

it my#@vzwpix.com I receive the message but

when i open the file my phone restarts on it's

OWN!!! Everytime... Anyone having the same

when you close the phone does it show the menu?...or can you change it to something else?

CAN U PLAY OR DOWNLOAD MUSIC WITH THE VOICE ON THIS PHONE. I WANT TO KNOW BEFORE BUYING THE PHONE AND ALSO HOW LONG CAN U TALK WITH THE EXTENDED BATTERY.

Has anyone else had trouble with the KX2 (KOI) unexpectedly losing voice tags? I often try to call someone using voice recognition, only to find that the phone no longer recognizes his name. I check the voice dial list, and find that they are no longer on it! It lets you re-enter the voice tag, as if it never existed for that person, but a few days later, it or someone else's is gone! Frustrating.

Is there any way to change the alarm clock ring to a custom ringtone or anything else other than the stock sound?

I am seriously planing to Buy this phone through VZW,
My existing phone has modem in it and i connect to internet through that as i have national plan the data is free.
My question is Does any one used KX2 as external modem and connected to internet? if yes how is the speed and connectivity?

When I go to main menu and then to messages it pops up with "updating messages.. Please check again later"

So I can't ever get past the main menu.. Any ideas?

Everyone knows in the Wireless industry (TIA) knows that the KX2 is a POS! Bad Screen, poor swivel design, and week battery life. Just like the SE47...tisk..tisk..

Verizon is about to pull this off the market because of the level of customer returns.

Case in point, just check out EBAY and look at everyone trying to get rid of this phone. The consumers are practically giving it away. Retail for this phone is $349.00, but you can pick one up for a mere $100.00 on EBAY.

Users are just fed up with this phone which is an engineering marvel..RIGHT. Kyocera's Management team should be ashamed of themselves thinking that this phone would sell at the consumers expense.

I am new to the whole cell phone thing and i was wondering if there is a place where you can get games or other applications free for this phone.

Reading through different post I have noticed people complaining they don’t have as many bars showing as they did on other phones. That is because most phones show 5 bars for maximum. The Kyocera phones only show 4. Even with no bars showing I can make and receive calls in my house.

i know these are 2 entirely different phones but which one do you think would be the best one to get? i love the idea of the swivel design and i like fip phones too but which one do you think has better picture quality and reception so anyone who has had both of these phones please reply!

I dealt with many phones, and Kyocera interface is the most intuitive, so I was really looking forward to getting a KX2 to replace my KX414. But couple days ago, I spent some time playing with the phone at a Verizon store, and maybe I am missing something, but opening/closing the phone with a single hand is well, awkward at best - but from these phones, it does not seem to be an issue - maybe there is a trick to doing it? I've read the manual, and looks like the phone is fully usable from closed position - without having to use speaker phone. How does this this work out? Or should I wait for the Slider Remix? Thanks!

I've been reading TONS of reviews and opinions on this phone. I've been considering it for a much needed new phone. So what are the really good qualities of this phone and what are the bad, because theres been an even amount of both.

Well I just got this phone and was wondering if any of you have it and if so is there a way to connect it to my computer so I can save the pics/videos?
