ITC Dismisses HTC Complaint Against Apple

The U.S International Trade Commission has dismissed a lawsuit filed against Apple by HTC. Today's dismissal follows an initial decision made by a law judge in October of last year, wherein the judge ruled that Apple was not violating four patents as HTC claimed. HTC later withdrew a fifth patent from the lawsuit. HTC may still appeal the decision, but the ITC will not investigate the matter further. The lawsuit was first filed in May 2010 in response to a similar suit filed by Apple against HTC. The two companies have other pending suits.

A US Federal Judge has ruled that Apple must allow app developers to "steer" customers away from Apple's App Store payment service, which collects a fee of up to 30%. The ruling was part of Fortnite maker Epic Games' lawsuit against Apple for anti-competitive behavior.

Apple Sues NSO Group for Spyware Targeting iPhones

Apple today filed a lawsuit against NSO Group to "hold it accountable for the surveillance and targeting of Apple users." Apple is also seeking a permanent injunction to ban NSO Group, an Israeli company, from using any Apple software, services, or devices.
