Boost Mobile today announced a new Facebook application called Re-Boost, which lets Boost customers top-up their accounts directly from within Facebook. In addition to using their own funds to top-up, Re-Boost users can request a Re-Boost from all their Facebook friends, send a customized Re-Boost request to a single friend, as well as send a Re-Boost gift to a fellow Boost Mobile Facebook user. The application itself is free to download and use within the desktop version of Facebook.

Poor People

They disgust me. Get a job, go to college. You have all the resources. The government gives it to you. Strive. Stop sneding Facebook requests to get your bills paid. You're poor, no one wants to be your friend. You shouldn't even be on the Internet, cook my food peasant.

Hey buddy, can you spare a dime?

How low do you have to be to start begging your FB friends to help you pay your phone bill? If any of my friends ever started spamming me with that crap, I'd unfriend them so fast they'd get the notification before Boost disconnected them for non-payment.

Sounds to me like Boost is seeing an increasing number of disconnects and is trying to slow that by any means necessary. I have my doubts as to whether it will work, but it sure doesn't improve the perception of the average Boost customer.

I wonder if one of the responses you can send when you get such a request is, "Get a job, you %#%@^&@ freeloader!"

Other new Facebook features...

1. An app which allows you to ask your friends for a sub-prime mortgage.

2. A photo editing tool which turns your profile pic into an ad for Feed The Children with your face in it.

3. A tool which starts a chain email with a fake story about your need for donations to cover surgery.

4. A "De-friend & Stab" button on the profile page of users who have used any of the above features.

I just finally got rid of all of the game requests...

This feature should help me figure out who to delete from my friends list. 😁
