AT&T today announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with America Movil so the two companies can research how best to expand the availability of mobile services across Latin America. Specifically, the two companies are going to look at how they can use one another's IP networks in the U.S., in Latin America, and around the world to deliver IP-based services to the widest footprint possible. AT&T is hoping to extend its reach to areas of Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East where it currently doesn't have a footprint.
