Cricket Wireless today announced a handful of new plans for customers who need to call international numbers or be reached by international callers. First is the Global Local Number. With this plan, customers are given a local number in the U.S., Mexico, and 40 other countries that can be given to friends and relatives. Those people call the number that is local to them in their country, and it rings on the Cricket customer's device. This can save the Cricket Customer's far-flung friends and family money when calling to the U.S. Global Local Number costs $5 per month for a U.S./Mexico number, and $10 per month for local number in other countries. Cricket is also offering two new international rate plans. Both plans include unlimited local talk, text, messaging, and mobile web. For $55 per month, the Mexico plan also includes a Mexico local number, 500 minutes for calls to a Mexican landline and 30 minutes of use per month for calls to a Mexico mobile. The new Global Rate Plan, available for $65 per month, features a global local number, 500 minutes for calling international landlines and 30 minutes for calling international mobile numbers.
