Oct 24, 2011, 10:07 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Research In Motion today announced the general availability of BlackBerry Messenger Social Platform SDK v1.0 for BlackBerry WebWorks. This set of tools works together with the WebWorks SDK to allow developers to create apps that can: access and update user profiles; create app-specific areas within user profiles for promotions; start BBM chats with BBM users, as well as transfer files and share applications back and forth; and use BBM to communicate in the background within other apps. The SDKs are available for download from RIM's developer support site.
