Bitstream today announced the availability of Bolt 3.0 for Android smartphones and tablets. This new version of the Bolt browser is proxy-based for compression and faster web page delivery, and runs on a WebKit engine. It includes both HTML5 and Flash for video playback, a new social tab that is integrated into Facebook, support for Twitter and other web apps, and a new user interface for Android-based devices. Bolt 3.0 is a free download from the Android Market.

needs to go back to the drawing board.

Completely unimpressed. I tried private beta of previous version and had hoped to see some improvement. don't waste your time with this one. Pages load extremely slowly, tabbed browsing is awkward, and there is no user agent toggle. In fact, this page didn't load at all when I attempted to view this page in bolt, only the mobile homepage. Also. Flash video support entirely missing. I'll keep using either opera or dolphin.
