Verizon Wireless Pushing Gingerbread to Casio Commando

Verizon Wireless has begun distributing the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update to the Casio G'zOne Commando. Aside from adding the standard list of Gingerbread features, the update also improves the speed/performance of the device itself and provides a fix to its proximity sensor. The update will be distributed over the air during the next few days, though users can also pull the update down via their settings tools.

Google today launched a major revamp of its Google Pay app with a new interface and several major new features. Instead of a stack of cards and list of transactions, the new interface centers around the people and businesses you exchange money with, with a conversation-style interface for each person, group, and business.
The stock software has a security "feature" that doesn't allow access to the bootloader through button presses at startup, the way you can with EVERY other android device.
