Twitter today announced that it has added the ability to attach photos to new Tweets that are sent in via text message. Users compose a text message addressed to Twitter, attach a photo as they would for a picture message, and send it in as normal. The photo will be visible on Twitter.com attached to the Tweet. This tool is available to Twitter users through AT&T, Verizon Wireless, and Cellular South in the U.S., as well as a number of carriers in other countries. Twitter said it is working to bring the feature to other U.S. carriers soon.
