Google has updated Maps for the Android platform to version 5.9. The new software adds voice and ringtone notifications for transit navigation, tablet support for transit navigation, and Bubble Buttons. Bubble Buttons can be enabled in Google Maps Labs. It adds call and navigate buttons to results on the map, making it faster to place a call or to get directions to that location. The update is free and available from the Android Market.

YAY!!!! :)

I'm glad those are back! It's great to search, then click the navigation arrow in the bubble that pops up in the map. Saves a lot of tapping through menus. Thanks Google! 😁
