Both Foursquare and LinkedIn have updated their mobile applications for the Android and iOS platforms. The Foursquare application for Android and iOS adds inline photo viewing for venues and will include avatar shots of friends who've checked in. It also cleans up the interface and makes some of of the controls easier to use on the touch screen. The iOS update is already available and the Android update will be available in the next day or so. LinkedIn's update for Android and iOS is focused on improving performance of the application, but also adds new features. Some of the new powers include the ability to: view updates from your network; view inbox invitations and messages in one place; and access your profile, connections, share updates. More importantly, the new version adds support for LinkedIn's Groups function, which lets users browse and interact with groups, as well as build out their network. Both the Android and iOS updates to LinkedIn are available in their respective app stores.
