Facebook today revealed details about a new mobile messaging application. The application, which will be available as a stand-alone piece of software for iOS and Android devices, will allow Facebook users to conduct IM-style chats with one another directly from their mobile devices. According to Facebook, the application delivers messages instantly and supports group messaging, as well. Location data can be included in chats should users choose. Facebook's web site indicates that the application should become available to both platforms at some point today via the iPhone App Store and Android Market.
