Microsoft Updates Windows Mobile Platforms

updated Microsoft today announced Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition, which includes updated versions of the Windows Mobile platform for both Pocket PC and Smartphone devices. The update adds increased display flexibility. The new version for Pocket PC devices supports dynamic switching between landscape and portrait orientations, and also reduced-height square displays. Support for high-resolution displays has also been added, including VGA and 480x480 displays for Pocket PC, and QVGA displays for Smartphones. The Motorola MPx is the first device announced that will use the new software.
