See...

Verizon tried to show up Sprint by launching in all these places at once. But the reason Sprint did their roll out gradually the way they did was to avoid things like this happening and make sure everything was solid.
No, they did gradually cause they don't have as much money as Vzn.

I'm Verizon totally planned their LTE launch around their plan to "show" Sprint what was up. Boy, their faces must red now that they failed in their attempt to show up Sprint.

Wait... this just in: this outage has nothing to do with Sprint. Thanks ...

This is exactly how it begins

First it's what seems like a few unhappy customers who say their 4g is unreliable, then it becomes more widespread and people from across the country are reporting having problems staying connected, even in strong 4g areas, now the whole damn system is down.

Wimax was more proven at the time it was implemented by Sprint than lte is for verizon. For the highway robbery prices they are charging, and considering they had the network mostly reading for quite a long time before allowing anyone to use it, considering all this, they sure seem to be having more than their share of issues.\

Guess you don't always get what you pay for.
I figured things were going to good for to long for Verizon for the LTE network. From my understanding of cell phone towers and cell phone networks there is no centralized place were LTE data goes kinda like the Internet. So how in the world did the e...

Well fret not... Cause Sprint 4G WiMAX is ALSO down in San Francisco in many areas that are normally the ONLY strong areas for WiMAX.

I tested this with browser, speed tests, and did the Sprint Zone App in the phone that checks for Voice, 3G, 4G c...

Test dummy

And this is why it's too early to be begging for 4G iPhones, Android or anything else. Go ahead, be the test dummy. By the time its perfected there will be better devices. Right now it's still in it's early phase, coverage isn't great and it drains battery way too fast. I think I'll stay with 3G for now. At least I know it works.
Except if you are on Sprint... Then 3G is actually 1XRTT data, and the fastest speed you MAY get averages 120kbps. If you think thats okay, then sure go ahead and stick with 3G.

Yeah, but I wouldn't want to upgrade want now and be stuck with a 3G smartphone for 2yrs.

And VZW tried to sell me 4G Hotspot

Two weeks ago went into store and bought the IPad with just WIFI and the guy tried talking us into buying the 4G Hotspot box and dump our internet and I said well we have to weigh everything out cost wise and problem wise and now I see if I bought and got rid of internet I wouldn't be typing this right now. You might say well the internet could go out and that is true but in 10 years with just two cable company's our cable, Internet might have been down a few hors so we have been lucky!
