Twitter 1.1 for BlackBerry Reaches Full Release

Research In Motion today announced that Twitter 1.1 has graduated from beta and is available for free to anyone wishing to download it from BlackBerry App World. The new software offers a wide range of new features. Twitter 1.1 for BlackBerry adds @replies push notification support; Direct Messages now appear in a threaded, conversational style similar to BBM; auto-complete support has been added to hashtags; it has better integration with other social feeds; retweets have been updated and are now included in the timeline; and touch screen BlackBerries can now perform new touch gestures to control their timeline. The application also now supports simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, Polish, Czech, and Thai. It will become available in BlackBerry App World within the next 24 hours.
