U.S. Cellular Sets Its Sights on Samsung's Gem

U.S. Cellular today said it will offer the Samsung Gem Android 2.2 phone. It has a 3.2-inch full touch screen, 3.2 megapixel camera, and will be available April 1. The Gem is also available from Alltel.

Ya think?
Naw...It would cost too much money for Verizon to support USCC's network versus just keeping a roaming agreement between the two. That and USCC is still a fairly profitable provider. They wouldn't agree to a buyout without a hostile takeover.

Hmmm it has puzzled me why U.S. Cellular is still in existence. I guess the problem is they're still profitable hence why they haven't going crying to the big boys for help yet. But they will ...
