Motorola Announces GSM Trio

(updated)  Motorola today announced three new phones for global release. All three phones are tri-band GSM models with color displays, and all three feature MP3 ringtones, WAP 2.0, Java MIDP 2.0, MMS, and Instant Messaging (IM).

so WHEN will these phones, particularly the v80 hitting the market? i know summer of this year, but summer is a long season. WHEN

and how much, the v80 was on a commercial this oscar weekend, so c'mon cant be so far away. but again how much will it be?

Will Verizon Support this Phone?

A Verizon tech rep said that Verizon stores in New England might be getting this phone soon. He also said that this phone would be able to switch from GSM to CDMA. Has anyone heard this same info? I am keeping my fingers crossed that Verizon comes out with a bluetooth phone. Thanks!

If They Announce, They Must Deliver!

Motoroal may just as well announce a super computer handset with space-based communications features we've never even dreamed about--because they most likely won't deliver it or it will be years late into the US market.
They took a lot of heat - from everyone (carriers, consumers, press, and shareholders) - for their recent high-profile delays. They are under enormous pressure to deliver on-time with their 2004 models. I have to believe this is a top priority ...
