Mozilla today released a new beta version of Firefox 4 for the Android and Maemo platforms. According to Mozilla, the biggest improvements in this version of the browser are increased speeds. Mozilla claims that the new beta is faster than the stock Android web browser. In other tests, the new Firefox beta is twice as fast on SunSpider and thrice as fast on Kraken. Mozilla noted that the new beta also has fewer bugs, reduced memory needs, and a better keyboard.
