Google Replacing CEO Schmidt with Co-Founder Page

As part of its quarterly earnings statement, Google announced that Eric Schmidt will step down as CEO and hand the reins over to co-founder Larry Page. Page will assume the CEO role starting April 4. Schmidt will remain executive chairman of the board.
