Verizon Wireless is making Android 2.2 Froyo available to the LG Ally Android smartphone. Android 2.2 offers a wide number of improvements across the board (Flash support, speed boost) and the update includes several enhancements specifically for the Ally. It includes the LG social application, better security tools, improved screen rotation support and an updated contact app that can merge Gmail and Exchange contacts. The update is being offered in batches over the air. Ally users will be notified when it is available to their handset.
