The Java Standards Community today ratified JSR 184 - an extension to Java better known as the Mobile 3D Graphics API. The standard was created and approved by a group of leading companies, including Nokia, Motorola, Symbian, PalmSource, Siemens, and Sony Ericsson. UK-based Superscape Group also helped craft the standard, and announced today that they plan to adapt their Swerve technology to be world's first commercially available implementation of the new standard.
