intercept 2.2 froyo.

currently with the 2.2 update. we have had customers who have had issues with deleting the contacts. such as when they do the update the device/update delete's customers contact information. another issue is when u do the update (risky) is insure you back up ur contacts to your memory card as well!

one issue we have been having all day customers are comming in because after the process of the update the phone will want to restart and then it gets stuck on "Samsung" you can do a "RTN" formally known as a full wipe on the phone but even though you can wipe using the short keys the device will be DONE, as in fried! i would recomend taking the device to a service center to have the phone updated. 👀
Question...W/my media hub is it lock so it only plays on my 4inch EPIC screen? Or is there something I am doing wrong w/AllShare?
The phone is fixable when stuck at the Samsung screen. There is a fix by hooking it up to the computer at a service center or by doing the update via micro SD card. So if the phone did get stuck in this mode it is not fried or done.

Epic4G

Really is 2.2 or 2.3 that much better. I love my epic sure it still has 2.1 but hell the phone works Great. EVO is a great phone to don't get me wrong but stop crying about updates they come out when they come out. Do your research try to find out when it comes out then chill out and wait.

Are they rolling it out for the Virgin Mobile Intercepts too?
I don't think the virgins got it yet but once they do it will be worth the wait!

Umm hello, it's stock Android!

Of course they're gonna get an update faster. This phone doesn't use their stupid TouchWiz and retarded file system. SamSUCK has been known to be very poor with support of their products.
You got that right! I'm so frustrated that my Captivate hasn't been updated to 2.2 that I'm this close to flashing an alternative ROM onto it.

Samsung is absolutely horrible about releasing updates for their phones. The _only_ time I've ever seen...
