After reports hit the internet regarding the shifting availability of the Dell Venue Pro Windows Phone 7 device, Dell posted an entry on its blog in an attempt to clarify what's going on. Dell said that it is attempting to ramp up production in order to meet customer demand, but admits that it has experienced a delay. It noted that it will begin shipping devices starting December 17, but not everyone will receive their device by the originally promised delivery date. Dell said it will continue to monitor and report on the situation. Dell's competitors, HTC, LG, and Samsung, all offered their WP7 handsets for sale starting in mid-November.

No Surprise here

These new phones from Dell look nice but I never had anything but trouble from their computers at work; I don't think I'd buy one of their phones either. Right out of the gate it's a no go.
I would never get a device that's had this kind of a history before it even launches. Dell, if I were you, I wouldn't even bother anymore.
