Audiovox Reveals Camcorder Phone

Audiovox today announced the CDM-9900 CDMA camera phone. The high-end phone features dual color displays, VGA camera with flash, and a high-resolution QVGA 260,000-color Poly-Silicon TFT main display. The camera can also record up to 15 seconds of video with sound, and the flash can be used as both a video light and standalone flashlight. Powered by Qualcomm's MSM6100 chipset, the tri-mode phone also features BREW, or Java in the CDM-9950 variant. The phone will be available by the end of the year.

Is it a Toshiba?

Since it is in the 9xxx series, does that mean it was manufactured by Toshiba, like the 9500?

Time frame?

The specs have gotten me very interested, and alothough I love my VZW coverage, I'm not in love with with T720. Extremely cool phone -- might even silence those who complain about the lack of phones with gadgets on Verizon. But what worries me is how long Verizon seems to take when comes to testing then allowiong the phones for sale.
