Sprint Trots Out New Parental Controls
Sprint has made it easier for parents to take control of their kids' cell phone user via refreshed online account controls. Sprint.com/Family is a new microsite that lets parents block texts and numbers, block digital media downloads, block Web access, block Picture Mail, block voice calls, and set one touch access to set or release all these controls. The new web site also offers parents advice about safety, access to the Sprint Family Locator service, and access to Family Plan information and controls. The web site is free for Sprint customers to use.
Coolpad has a new version of its Dyno smartwatch for kids, and it's better in every way. The Dyno 2 is a "kids" smartwatch that slightly older kids might not be embarrassed to wear, thanks to new color and interface options.

Facebook today launched a major update to Messenger Kids, its messaging app designed for kids 13 and under. While the original app simply gave parents control over who their kids could chat with, the new Parent Dashboard lets parents monitor everything except the text of messages themselves.
